One of the good things happening in all this pandemic is, as I heard on PBS radio, since people are at home, they are adopting pets. Even though some facilities are closed most of the no kill shelters are open, not asking for in home inspections and as a result a lot of pets are finding new homes and the humans have a furry friend to keep them company. The adopters and adoptees have the time to learn about each other and get the house rules down. As we know pets have been known to help lower our blood pressure, dispense stress, break up depression and the dogs can take us for a walk. I’ve seen many people out walking their dogs in the sunshine. This is great for both of them and since exercise establishments have been shut due to contamination risks it gets us up, out and moving.
