According to this study that was published in early 2020, researchers who intended to study certain dining habits of cats ended up not being able to complete their study. Their study depended on the consistency of off the shelf cat food. They were hampered as they found that cat food labels are commonly incorrect – they found they commonly contain ingredients not listed on the label and also lack ingredients listed on the label.
