Living with Uncertainty

We know that life in general is full of uncertainty. Philosophers and scientists, the religious and the spiritual have all attempted to clarify life throughout our history.

There have been times in history when change is the dominant theme. This seems to be one of those times. Something is “in the air.” While change can feel stressful to many, stress can harm our health and, well, what does that achieve? Being in the present, loosening expectations of how things “must be,” will go a long way towards less stress and greater flow in our lives.

Many people are concerned because they were not prepared for what is happening and because of the uncertainty of what will happen in the future. For example, it is a time when children generally go back to school after a summer’s break. For those returning to school, some parents are  feeling stressed due to the old belief that back to school means everyone gets sick. And there some teachers who fear they are being replaced by computers and AI. In a July 2020 recording posted on Youtube, Adamus St Germain stated that we would have a computer-generated style of teaching that would be customized to the individual student. This is not news to those who are aware that various companies have been working in this direction. As the current classroom cannot customize and, at this time, is not prepared to do so, a potential residual of computer teaching is that the poor who cannot afford it will be further marginalized. Teaching pods are popping up all over the place.

The smoke in a number of parts of the country this summer made the basic act of breathing a challenge for some. Many stayed indoors versus exercise outside, and therefore did not get their normal exercise. In addition to staying inside, I tried a Portable Hydrogen-Rich rechargeable Ion water generator to help my breathing with all the smoke.

If the uncertainty is creating stress for you, be aware that long term stress can lower the immune system. I have noticed that some people are losing their hair in greater than normal doses as part of the body’s stress response.

To reduce stress, focus on the breath and not on the unknown. Wim Hof offers a mini class on how to deep breathe and recharge your body.

Lee Harris recently recommended stopping a handful of times each day, pausing to look at the sky. Realize that another’s hell can be your heaven when there is a blue sky above.  You might also like information from Matt Kahn, Lee Harris, Adamus St. Germain about the nature and opportunities of this time. Each has recent recordings available on Youtube.
