I had been wanting an Infrared Sauna for years, but my previous house just did not allow space nor were the funds available to install one in my home. However, when I moved in 2019 I found a house with a finished basement that had lots of room and the space to install one. So, when SpiritualQuest had a promotion for their two person Himalayan Salt Sauna I jumped on it.
After ordering, an electrician installed a dedicated line it. Then the contractor who was making some other home improvements at the time it arrived put it together. It arrived on a pallet as big as my car. Later I saw that the spa had snap locks that would have allowed me to put it together myself but I wanted it done right. And I wouldn’t have been able to carry it down the stairs to its designated space by myself.
What I now know about the Infrared sauna is that it warms you, not just the space you are sitting in. I know that it helps drive viruses out of my body. In fact, they do not stand a chance. I also know it knocks out stiff joints and the RA factor. And I have noticed much better physical movement and my sinuses are much improved after years of sinus infections.
When I’m not feeling well, I hop into the sauna for the 30 to 50 minutes it takes to raise the sauna temperature to 140 degrees or higher. By then I’m warm, sweaty and feel so much better, warmed to the bone.
I then hop in the shower to wash off the sweat and clear my pores. Some advocate a cold shower, but I am not brave enough for that and the screaming that I will emit with the shock to my system. After the (warm) shower, I moisturize my face and arms and let myself glow for the rest of the day.
