Give the Girls Support!

With all of the hoopla about AI and the ability to create things quickly, I have one question. Why can’t we get simple underwear, specifically bras, that actually support not only us, but the object of their purpose which is a genuine part of the body that requires support. Through the ages breast tissue has been a focus of men and women, but while there have been innovations there has been very little done to support the Girls.

Gravity has its pull on everything, everyone and every part of our bodies. And some parts of our bodies are headed south…rapidly. Yet with proper engineering, compassion and excellent fit we should be able to neutralize the negative effect of gravitational pull. And without poking, prodding, strangling or snapping our bodies in the process.

Liza Shlesinger, a standup comedian, does a long set about the dying bra that begs to be let go. Why? Because many of us end up wearing a garment that has long ago lost its ability to do its job. But it somewhat fits and doesn’t turn against our body while moving. It is funny because it is true.

We ask for that bra or support system that won’t squeeze the breath out of us, but rather hold us up in such a way that won’t cause “side boob,” where part of the breast tissue is shoved up under the arms because the cups in the bra are too small or too tight and squeeze it into your armpits. Why? Or “under boob,” where the breast tissue is sliding under the elastic of the chest band and is headed south because the bra does not fit the breast and the chest at the same time. Or the elastic is dying and has given up the fight.

And there is the ever popular “unaboob” which makes you look like you have one continuous boob from right to left or left to right. No cleavage. Why? This happens with sports bra much too much.

We want support, we don’t want to be let down, shoved around or abandoned any more.

Let’s create the something better for the Girls!
