Is it Over?

People continually ask, “Is it over?”  They mean the “pandemic” or Covid-19. I can say from personal experience that it is not.

It has been one month since I began my experience with the latest mutation. I still have a productive morning cough and I should own stock in Kleenex by now.

Viruses mutate. This one is flying around in a slightly different form that steals the oxygen from all of the cells in our bodies. It might not require special medical intervention, but personal care and lowering the stress and fear created by it is mandatory. This is because stress and fear lowers our immune system.

I still see people walking around with masks, or even stranger masks hung under their nose, because they can’t breathe. Hello? Why wear a mask as the virus can just float right through them.

The bigger question is what damage has all of this done to your health, both mental and physical, and what did you learn from it?

One reason people are saying it is over is because they are being forced back into their corporate workplaces. We crave the touch and interaction with others without regard to a compromised immune system as a result of stress and fear.

The political climate is shoving fear over to the “what’s next?”  Are we prepared? Possibly, but learn from the recent past and prepare for the future.

Why suffer? Rather relax, know if you do end up with the current mutation, know it is part of the body learning to defend itself. Above all take care of your physical, mental and emotional self the best way you can. Or something better.
