Skin Care: Is Anti-Aging a Scam?

Before we share a bit about Science Vs’ Skin Care: Is Anti-Aging a Scam? podcast, we will share that

1) we do not care for the term “anti-aging,” but prefer “graceful aging,” “healthy aging,” “vibrant aging” and similar. Why be “anti” given aging is part of life?

2) there are many steps and actions we can take to achieve graceful and vibrant aging. There is no scam about that truth.

We are mentioning this nearly 30 minute podcast as it describes a sleuthing effort regarding the claims that many skin care products make. That they “reduce fine lines by x% in less than one day.” And, yes, that is an exaggeration, but you know how they claim. The women wanted to know if the claims were true.

In the end, they learned about a company that many product manufacturers hire to put the products to the test. Test results, assuming favorable, allow manufacturers to make the claims that they do. They also learned the process that this test company uses.

And so they decided to create a crummy product and have it tested. What do you know?! The report showed that the product was a success!

We will not share more detail — you would need to listen to the podcast. But you get the gist.
