The primary objective is tune into your intuitive self. When choosing, ask your intuition “is this what my body wants”? In addition,

  • Before reaching for a bite, pause and assess your hunger level. Is it real hunger, boredom, or emotions?
    • Boredom is boredom and can be cured in many creative ways.
    • Emotional eating is a common theme for many. Try to find ways to cope with emotions that don’t involve food. For example, get outside, call a friend, do something creative.
  •  Ditch the diet mentality – you’ll likely find that your cravings for the “off-limits” foods on many diets diminish over time.
  • Stop eating when no longer hungry.
  • Enjoy your food! Choose foods you genuinely enjoy and that make you feel good. Eating should be a joyful healing experience that satisfies body and mind.
